You can find our official donation boxes in some of the dive shops, hotels and restaurants. Donation boxes are available at the following places:
Trawangan Dive Center
Gili Palms Resort
Gili Eco Trust
Blue Marlin Dive Center
And of course there is a donation box at our charity shop too!
Where does the money go?
100% of donations, as well as any profit the cat shop makes, goes to further help our feline islanders. We buy medicines, vaccines, cat food. We have our tiny cat hospital to support and the free spay/neuter clinics we organize 2-4 times a year.
Cat clinics and the cat hospital are our biggest expences. For hospital we need of course loads of medicines and medical supplies, as well as cages for our patients, food bowls, litter boxes and lots and lots of cat food. Sometimes we send seriously sick cats to Bali or Lombok for veterinarian care we are not able to give here.
Our free spay/neuter clinics are also not cheap. First of all: all required medicines and medical supplies cost a lot. We also need loads of cat carrier baskets. There are transport expences for moving the clinic to another island and back, basic stuff like rubbish bags, paper towels, cleaning supplies.
Having a cat shop basically does not cost us anything, except electricity. But we need merchandise to sell there: t-shirts, canvas bags, postcards. We also sell cat food, collars, toys, vaccination, basic medication (flea treatment, dewormers and such). And from selling all mentioned stuff: we get more funds to keep us going!
